May is Bike Month

Posted on: May 9th, 2012 by fara

Get your bike out of the garage, brush the dust off, grease the gears and start pedaling.

May is National Bike Month and Thursday, May 10, is the Bay Area’s 18th Annual Bike to Work Day.  Join thousands in celebrating bicycling as a fun healthy way to make your trips – to work, school, and for local errands.

High Country Kombucha will be involved with an event in California on May 20th called the Tour De Marin by giving out free tea samples at the Whole Foods in San Rafael from 10 AM to 1 PM.  This tour is a 45-mile ride through scenic Marin and participants can then watch the final stage of the Tour of California in the afternoon.  If you’re in the area, you should definitely try to participate.

National Bike to Work week is May 14 – 18 (wait a minute, that’s not a whole week!) and National “Visit Your Relatives Day” is also May 18th.  Perhaps you could get on your bike and go visit a nearby relative.

Pedal produced power totally rocks!

High Country Kombucha Posters

Posted on: April 10th, 2012 by fara

Dan Katra is a big fan of our tea and we are even bigger fans of his  artwork.  He graciously agreed to produce a High Country inspired poster for us and we could not be more thrilled with the result.  Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think.

Of course, to get the full effect of this beautiful piece of artwork you should really view it out in a public setting.  Below is a picture of the Belmar Whole Foods coffee bar in Denver next to our High Country Kombucha on tap menu.

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful way to get the word out about our tasty probiotic-filled fermented tea.  If anyone is interested in getting one of these posters, come see us at the Farmers Markets this summer and ask for them specifically.  We will share the posters and a smaller sticker version with fans and customers while supplies last.

We will be posting our Farmers Market schedule right here on our “News” page, sometime in early May.  Check back often and we’ll look forward to seeing you soon.

Thank you, Dan.

What is a Demo?

Posted on: October 24th, 2011 by fara

We often post notices about upcoming demos around the country.  If you check out our events calendar on this website you will find a complete list of all upcoming demos.  Just so you know what to look for, here are a few photos from a demo that took place in Denver this weekend.

This is Garrett, a valuable member of our demo crew.  He’s full of useful information about our High Country Kombucha tea and would love to provide you with a tasting.  Don’t hesitate to come up and say hello and ask him all about our refreshing beverage.

Several locations in Denver and Boulder now offer our Kombucha tea on tap at their coffee bars.  Customers can buy a refillable glass container to take home and keep for future use making  it a very eco-friendly way to consume our tea.  Our product is still  available in bottles and we encourage our customers to recycle whenever possible.

Come out to see us at a demo near you soon!  We’d love to see you there.

More Colorado stores offer High Country Kombucha Tea on Tap

Posted on: September 29th, 2011 by fara

We are growing our “on tap” program starting in Colorado and the reception has been extremely positive.   Our Kombucha tea is very fresh and effervescent when served on tap and you can avoid having to recycle glass bottles by purchasing your own reuseable glass container.

Southgless Whole Foods in Centennial, Colorado

High Country Kombucha staff members have visited individual stores to set up the “on tap” system and offer training to the employees.  We really appreciate the opportunity to serve our Kombucha tea on tap and hope it continues to be well received by the public.

We hope to spread this “on tap” program around the country but we have to start in our home state.  Keep an eye on our website, Twiiter & Facebook for announcements regarding new stores as they get added.

We’d like to thank Whole Foods for giving our Kombucha on tap a chance and our loyal fans and customers for helping to create the demand.  Thank you!

Kombucha on Tap in Colorado and Utah!

Washington Park Whole Foods in Denver, CO

We are adding stores to our “Kombucha on tap” program.  Help us shrink our carbon footprint and use fewer glass bottles  by purchasing our fresh and tasty beverage in reusable, take home glass containers.  You can buy growlers that hold 64 ounces of authentic kombucha goodness and take it home today!  Our kombucha tea on tap can be found today at the Washington Park Whole Foods in Denver, CO; the Southglenn Whole Foods in Centennial, CO; at the Whole Foods in Fort Collins, CO; and at the Whole Foods and Alfalfa stores in Boulder, CO.

High Country Kombucha tea is also currently available on tap from the Trolley Square Whole Foods in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This week we are adding two more Denver stores to the “Kombucha on tap” program; Capitol Hill Whole Foods and The Belmar Whole Foods near Lakewood.  By Friday both of these stores will have the taps flowing and the growlers available for sale.  Come out to give us a try, it doesn’t get much tastier than this!

Demo Blitz Team Blog

Hard work pays off with passionate demo support

Many startup companies have great ideas and products, but lack the ability to attract customers to their new brand.  Branding is a tough task - especially when you have limited options and resources available to promote and educate the customer.  This task is deemed extremely difficult with a newer functional beverage called Kombucha, since customers tend to acquire a taste for the brew so they can enjoy all the probiotic benefits.

Demo teamAfter years of trial and error, High Country Kombucha has found that the best way to promote a new brand with limited resources is “Belly to Belly” product education.  This method of personal and enthusiastic education has proven to be successful.  High Country Kombucha now has an in-house demo blitz team that educates customers in our natural foods stores about our Kombucha teas all over the country.

HCK’s demo team is composed of a small group of passionate individuals who had previously worked on our bottling line, and wanted to have a larger role in the success and direction of the company.  Not just anyone is right for the job.  The demo crew travels long hours to reach key markets, and spend long days in stores and local community events promoting HCK.  Be sure to check the calendar or our Facebook page to find out when the team might be in your community!  Your support is needed to drive the team and in return offer more great Kombucha products to your local retailers!
