Vegan Brunch in Denver

Posted on: November 27th, 2012 by fara

The Nooch Market at 3360 Larimer is having a vegan brunch on Sunday, December 2nd from 11 AM to 2 PM.

High Country Kombucha will be available & we hope that not only vegans will attend.  Come for the healthy, probiotic drink and stay for the delicious vegan meal.  Don’t tell my local organic livestock farmer I said so, but aren’t we all at least a little vegan-curious?  Live the dream and try a vegan meal, you may end up a convert or you may just join the Meatless Mondays movement sweeping the nation.  Either way we hope to see many of you there!

Into The Wild with Jungle Jack Hanna

Posted on: August 9th, 2012 by fara

We are so lucky to live in an area where people are so into the great outdoors!  National Get Outdoors day was last Sunday and where better to do that then on a piece of land that has been conserved for future generations to enjoy?  High Country Kombucha is proud to support the Eagle Valley Land Trust and their efforts to conserve land right in our own backyard – Eagle County, Colorado.

August 21 EVLT fundraiser

We are excited to help sponsor the annual Evergreen Ball fundraiser.  The special guest this year is Jungle Jack Hanna and several of his furry & feathered friends.  Children will get a chance to get up close and personal with some amazing animals and Jack Hanna himself.  Attendees will also be able to bid on quality products & services at the Silent Auction.  Products like High Country Kombucha, of course!

Yoga for Land… Again!

Posted on: June 14th, 2012 by fara

The initial Yoga for Land event that benefits the Eagle Valley Land Trust was such a great success that we had to share some photos.

This donation based yoga class occurs every second & fourth Saturday of each of the summer months so there are five more this season.  Come to the Eagle Vail Community Gardens to join in the fun, organic food and the High Country Kombucha tea.

There are even activities for the kids so bring them along for some fun outdoor play in the community gardens.

Everyone came together as a community and enjoyed the first yoga class of the series.  Be sure to attend the remaining classes that take place throughout the summer.

Yoga Rocks the Park 2012… Again!

Posted on: June 5th, 2012 by fara

I had to create one more post for this fantastic summer series so I could share our photos from the initial class.

We heard the attendance for the first class was record-breaking at over 300 participants.  Money was raised for charity and various sponsors brought food, yoga clothing and other goodies to sell or share.

There was a festival like atmosphere with entertainment, food and beverages.  What a fun way to spend a Sunday morning!  We hope to see more of you at the next event and we will bring kombucha tea.

The acrobatic flyers were especially fun to watch.

What a great class taught by the gorgeous ladies of Vital Yoga.  They focused on building roots and we loved every grounding pose, never a dull moment.

May is Bike Month

Posted on: May 9th, 2012 by fara

Get your bike out of the garage, brush the dust off, grease the gears and start pedaling.

May is National Bike Month and Thursday, May 10, is the Bay Area’s 18th Annual Bike to Work Day.  Join thousands in celebrating bicycling as a fun healthy way to make your trips – to work, school, and for local errands.

High Country Kombucha will be involved with an event in California on May 20th called the Tour De Marin by giving out free tea samples at the Whole Foods in San Rafael from 10 AM to 1 PM.  This tour is a 45-mile ride through scenic Marin and participants can then watch the final stage of the Tour of California in the afternoon.  If you’re in the area, you should definitely try to participate.

National Bike to Work week is May 14 – 18 (wait a minute, that’s not a whole week!) and National “Visit Your Relatives Day” is also May 18th.  Perhaps you could get on your bike and go visit a nearby relative.

Pedal produced power totally rocks!

Chomp! A monthly Vegan Meal in Denver

Posted on: February 21st, 2012 by fara

CHOMP! is a monthly community dinner featuring 100% vegan dishes, prepared by some of Denver’s up-and-coming aspiring vegan chefs. Taking place on the first Wednesday of every month, CHOMP! is aimed at bringing the young Denver vegan community together, and also providing a place for anybody to come try some great cruelty-free food without having to worry about pretension, judgement, or preaching. It’s just about good food. Food we love, food we want to share, and food which we believe can save the world.

You don’t have to bring anything to Chomp! except yourself and maybe a small donation ($7-$10) to help cover the cost of food and fund future dinners and projects for Plants & Animals. Come out and bring a friend, We hope to see you there!

wild root

High Country Kombucha is excited to be a part of this monthly vegan meal event by providing free samples of our totally vegan and healthy kombucha tea.  The event takes place the first Wednesday of each month at Green Spaces in Denver.  You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy trying a vegan meal so be sure to join us for Chomp! sometime soon.
